In the first part of this course, “The Life of Christ I,” we studied the lives of Jesus’ parents and of those who were blessed during His first coming. We also saw that the life of Christ is truly the pattern of what God wants to do with believers. God will not judge us by comparison of what others reached or failed to reach, but rather by the standard that He established: Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 10:13)—He desires to share with us what He is.
In this course, “The Life of Christ II,” we want to examine other important topics such as the genealogy of Jesus Christ, His birth, name, preparation, precursor, baptism, anointing, and transfiguration among others. Let us remember that we need the Holy Spirit’s help so that our spiritual eyes may be opened so we may see the beauty of the anointed of the Father and in so doing, be transformed unto His image. As the apostle John says, “but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).
