The book of Job is one of the most precious books of literature. This book gives us a greater understanding of divine providence, that is, of God’s power to sustain, manage, and govern over all things from beginning to end, as praise to His name. Job experienced great trials and afflictions, not because of sin—he was a mature man who loved the Lord’s presence—but due to the Lord’s desire to give him a double portion in both the natural realm and of His Spirit, and to help him finish the race well. Job was conscious of this providence, which led him to trust completely on the Lord and on His way in order to fulfill His purposes over man. The study of Job helps us understand the purposes of God for our lives and of the way established tohit the mark in the end.
