Isaiah’s message does not only hold God’s Word given to His people in antiquity, but also a message for these days and His people today. The final purpose of this book is that the Spirit, through the text, will convict the sinner of his ways and lead him to the Lord’s feet in genuine repentance. Through the prophet Isaiah, God describes the kind of servants who will reign with God himself at the end of this century, and what we can expect before, during, and after His second coming. Themes such as the unfaithfulness of God’s people, God’s judgment upon His people, His counsel, the cleansing of his people, God’s mercy, and the glory of His Kingdom will be some of the topics which we will study during this course. This course will be an opportunity to receive a new revelation about our current condition, and also a beautiful manifestation of God’s character of justice and mercy toward our condition. It will be a calling that will urge us in these times to be equipped, corrected, and changed, and so obtain the position of being faithful servants in the coming Kingdom.
