When each Christian begins his relationship and walk with God, according to the Bible, he initiates a journey. The Lord Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). In this passage we find three elements involved in beginning of a trip: a way, a means of transportation, and a goal.
Israel’s journey from her exodus out of Egypt to their conquest of Canaan contained a succession of experiences and events that are shadows of and parallel our spiritual walk with Christ. The Bible confirms that Israel’s journey is an example for Christians. In this course, we will study Israel’s journey through the wilderness and the journey’s application to our lives, emphasizing that Christ is the way and no one comes to the Father but by Him.
